Flooding Affects Interiors of Palmdale Structure
The groundwater that entered this Palmdale home after a flash flood soaked the carpet in several rooms and wicked into the wallboards. The Before Photo shows one of the rooms with carpeting that is dirty with contaminated water and must be removed. The After Photo illustrates the depth of the demolition process needed before a build back can occur. Our SERVPRO crew can dry out the concrete pad and the exposed framing once "flood cuts" have removed the non-salvageable drywall lower sections. The area is now dry, showing the water heater in the adjoining utility closet, still operational. The neat lines provide for an easier installation of new wallboard after an antimicrobial product has been sprayed.
